What iCloud Companion collects
iCloud Companion collects your sign-in email, encrypted Apple app-specific password and login identifiers, connection and assistant authorization records, permission settings, and subscription identifiers and status from Stripe. It processes the mail, calendar and optional contact information you request, without keeping a mailbox mirror or a copy of your address book.
Diagnostic logs have a 14-day retention setting. Credentials, message and event bodies, contact details, recipient lists and signed content URLs are excluded from these logs.
How the information is used
The information is used to operate your account, securely connect to iCloud and supported AI assistants, provide requested features, manage paid access and diagnose service problems. iCloud Companion does not sell your personal information.
With two-factor authentication enabled, generate a dedicated app-specific password at account.apple.com. Enter it only in Companion’s connection form, never your primary Apple Account password or an Apple verification code. See Apple’s creation and revocation instructions. Write, send, invite and Contacts controls start off and limit Companion, not Apple’s password permissions. Contacts are read-only, require your separate permission and an active subscription, and reconnecting turns these controls off.
Temporary attachments and completed action details expire. Billing history details stop being available 90 days after they are first recorded successfully; older records use the payment provider’s event time. Physical storage removal is asynchronous. Minimal billing-event records remain without an automatic expiry after deletion to prevent duplicate processing, without financial details or private content. Limited records also prevent duplicate actions while connected.
You can disconnect iCloud and delete your account from the account page. Both remove usable credentials and invalidate access; deletion also starts subscription and storage cleanup. Minimal identifiers may remain while blocked cleanup is retried. Issued attachment links can remain usable until expiry. For access, correction, deletion or privacy questions, email support@canvascompanion.lakefill.app.
Service providers and connected assistants
iCloud Companion uses Amazon Web Services for hosting, account access, encrypted storage and operational logging, and Stripe for subscription billing. Content you choose to use through a connected AI assistant is also processed under that assistant’s privacy terms. Apple processes your iCloud data under its own policies. iCloud Companion is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
